Filming Tips

Rules for professional-looking, high-converting videos

DO's

Keep the camera STEADY

Shaky footage kills retention immediately

Move FORWARD for b-roll

Walk toward camera, never pan side to side

Center your text on screen

Film product around text overlay

White text only

No colors except white (yellow also trending). Dark backgrounds only for text-on-screen

Evening is best for B-roll

Natural light at golden hour makes product shots pop

Add a title overlay for talking head

Source titles from proven viral videos

Add subtle keyframe zoom

Adds motion to static talking head videos

DON'Ts

Don't be shaky

Use a tripod or stabilizer. Shaky video = instant scroll

Don't be still

Motion! Motion! Motion! Even subtle movement keeps viewers engaged

Don't use colored text

Stick to white (or yellow). Hard to read on varied backgrounds

Don't invent your own titles

Copy proven viral titles. Originality is not rewarded by algorithm

Don't pan the camera

Moving forward is cinematic. Panning looks amateur
